This venue couldn’t have been any more perfect. The owner, Alan, was VERY responsive and accommodating. He continues to upkeep and add features to the venue. All of my guests couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful it was. We had about 90 guests and we fit comfortably with extra space if we needed it. We also loved that our wedding party and family was able to stay on site. It was the perfect weekend for us.

We had our wedding weekend here and it was nothing short of phenomenal. Allen was great to work with and gave us the permission to create a wedding experience that was fully unique to us. We had 100 guests and 20-24 people stay on property for the weekend. Both of the houses were perfect for holding our wedding party and family and gave an intimate experience. The grounds and pavilion were absolutely breathtaking. For the couple, that wants a naturally stunning venue and the autonomy for each decision, this is it. Thank you Allen for helping us creating the best weekend of our lives.

The Poplars was the perfect place for our intimate mountain wedding! All of our guests stayed on the property and it was a lovely few days in the mountains in addition to the wedding day! All of the houses had some many thoughtful details and gave everyone enough space. The Poplars was also the perfect combination of a DIY space and a typical venue (with tables, table cloths, chairs, event space restroom etc. all included). Alan was incredibly easy to work with and responsive to all of our questions. If you're looking for a secluded wedding spot in the WNC mountains, I highly recommend the Poplars!

We had our wedding here, and it was the most magical place! It couldn't have been more perfect. Our family + bridal party were able to stay there Thursday - Sunday in the cabins onsite. It was the perfect way to relax, hang out with the ones we love, and so happen to get married at the same time! Alan and the team were so helpful and accommodating to our plans and made it that much more special. We will truly cherish the time we had there. It was so unforgettable.

We had a truly magical fall mountain wedding weekend at The Poplars. The setting was everything we dreamed of—private, cozy, and tucked into a picturesque spot along the Continental Divide near Bearwallow Mountain. The cabins, built from trees on the property, give the whole place a warm, grounded feel. Our guests didn't want to leave! Alan was a pleasure to work with—easygoing, responsive, and supportive of our vision every step of the way. If you want an affordable, beautiful Asheville-area venue run by genuinely kind people, The Poplars is it.
